 Scene:  The River
 
 ..MacNeill stoops to release the fish.  Christy smiles, then asks him...
 
 CHRISTY (thoughtful):  Have you ever been to the teahouse?
 
 MACNEILL: (peering up at her with an enigmatic look):  Nothing in El Pano
 can compare to the beauty that I find at this moment.
 
 Christy smiles.  Then...
 
 CHRISTY (aggressive):  You still haven't answered my question, Doctor.
 
 MacNeill is startled, since this wasn't in HIS script.
 
 MACNEILL:(dazed)  What...
 
 CHRISTY (impatient):  Oh come on Doctor.  It's a simple enough question. 
 (Viewers are reminded that her father is a lawyer)  Have you or have you
not
 been to the teahouse?
 
 MACNEILL:(fumbling for his wits)  I...
  
CHRISTY (interrupting):  Oh, don't tell me.  "Boys will be boys".  Men,
 they're all alike...
 
 MacNeill tries to stop this tirade, but Christy grows more furious.  She
 turns to stalk off in fury.  MacNeill is alarmed.  He's supposed to say his
 big line, and she's running away...
 
 MACNEILL:  Christy!
 
 CHRISTY (whirling around):  Well!  What do you have to say for yourself?
 
 MACNEILL (Blurts out in confusion):  The frying pan is more important than
 the dance, Miss Huddleston.
 
 Christy gives a horrified gasp at this shameless admission, then runs off. 
 MacNeill follows her.
 
 MACNEILL:  Wait, that wasn't it!  Christy!
